Devonshire Dome nominated for Wedding Venue Award
The Devonshire Dome in Buxton is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for ‘Best Wedding Venue’ at the Academic Venue Awards, taking place on November 22 in London.
The Academic Venue Awards celebrate the best of the best and bring the UK’s top Academic Venues together to celebrate successes. This nomination recognises the Devonshire Dome as one of the top UK Academic venues for events.
As part of the University of Derby, the Devonshire Dome is proud to offer a ‘real-world learning’ environment, where hospitality and events students can craft their trade, and experience what it is really like to work in their chosen industry whilst at the same time, working towards a recognised qualification to help them advance in their career.
The breathtaking Devonshire Dome provides the perfect backdrop to many memorable events, from award ceremonies and exhibitions, as well as parties, celebrations and weddings.
The events team will travel down to London for the awards ceremony which takes place at The Great Hall, Queen Mary University in the heart of London on November 22. The awards are judged by an independent panel with years of experience in the events and marketing industry, so when it comes to popping the question of whether the Dome will be crowned ‘Best Wedding Venue’, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed and hoping they say ‘yes’!
