Launching our new ‘Meet the Spa Team’ series, we introduce to you our very own Devonshire Spa receptionist, Tasha Bagguley.
She’s the smile as you arrive and the cheerful wave when you leave – and she helps keep the spa working like clockwork. We asked her to step away from the reception desk for a moment to find out a bit more about her, her role and what the Devonshire Spa means to her!
When did you join the Devonshire Spa team?
I joined Devonshire Spa earlier this year. It was a great way to start the New Year and meet new friendly faces! Working locally previously, you can’t miss the Devonshire Dome it’s such a focal point – and I’ve enjoyed the spa as a client – so now it’s great to be part of the experience from this side of the desk!
What did you do before Devonshire Spa?
Engaging with people has always been something that’s motivated me. Before joining the team, I was a supervisor at H. Samuel, the jeweller in Buxton. Whether it was birthdays, weddings, christenings or just a treat – helping people choose something special and beautiful to mark an event was great job satisfaction. It’s great that I have that feel-good factor in my role – helping people celebrate, pamper and looking great for those same special occasions!
What are your day-to-day responsibilities at the Devonshire Spa?
Every day is different and that’s what’s so great! My main responsibilities are to take care of our lovely guests. I make sure they feel welcome from when they walk into the moment they leave. I take bookings for the spa, check guests in and out and make sure the day runs smoothly. I love motivating the team and I’m always on hand to make a cup of tea! At the end of the day, it’s all about people!
What is your favourite treatment?
I love that there’s something for everyone – top to toe from a quick pamper to full lavish unwind. I guess my ultimate favourite treatment here at the spa is the Caudalie Crushed Cabernet. It’s a luxurious body treatment that starts with the Caudalie Crushed Cabernet scrub then a soothing candle massage finished with a cranial massage. Bliss!
What are your go-to beauty products?
It’s the Caudalie again…this time Caudalie Vino Perfect Correction Serum because of its high content of natural ingredients and its ability to even complexion and boost radiance. The beauty of the range (pardon the pun!) is that as well as spa treatments they’ve developed a selection of home spa products and as these are available to purchase at the spa, running low is never an issue!
Inside your make-up bag, what are your three favourite products?
Alongside my Caudalie Vino Perfect Serum, would be my Mii mineral face base powder. It’s the perfect grab and go product and great for midday touch-ups. And last but not least, my eye liner! – it’s the perfect finishing touch for make up on the go!
When you are not at Devonshire Spa, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Living in Buxton, the countryside is just a stone’s throw away so I enjoy taking long strolls with my fiancé and Chihuahua who I spend most of my time with. I also enjoy taking photographs of the amazing landscape nearby, drinking coffee, going to the cinema and of course visiting the spa!

I love being a part of the Devonshire Spa team, I get to work with an amazing group of people within amazing, award-winning facilities and an environment that is so enjoyable to be a part of – I feel like I have slotted in perfectly with the team.
