To help you get back on track and feeling full of health and vitality again, the Devonshire Spa’s bespoke therapy Tabula Rasa therapy is back by popular demand to offer a seasonal treat for the senses which leaves you with a feeling of motivation and clarity.
Developed by our team of professional Spa therapists as a signature treatment, Tabula Rasa quite literally means ‘clean slate’ in Latin and offers a chance to kick start your mind, body and soul to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.
Those who haven’t experienced the delights of the Hammam wet room are in for a treat from the outset of this treatment. Traditionally used in Morrocan culture as a ritual to deep cleanse the skin, our Hammam table offers the chance to experience this therapy for yourself in the comfort and privacy of our treatment room.
After making yourself comfortable on the heated Hammam table, your therapist will use a gentle seaweed extract and lemongrass salt and oil scrub to buff away dead skin cells, revealing soft and silky skin. Warming oils are then applied to nourish and soften for a luxurious and relaxing experience – and we won’t judge you if you fall asleep, we promise!
From there, your therapist will use an advanced massage technique to target those stubborn areas prone to water retention and sagging. This expert technique includes an abdominal massage to boost the circulation of the colon and encourage toxins to be eliminated from the body.
This wonderful therapy concludes with a head massage to soothe the mind and re-balance energy channels, leaving you feeling light, relaxed and ready to take on the world again.
