Tuesday 2nd April - 7:30pm
As part of the South West Peak Landscape Partnership Spring Lecture Series, we introduce ‘Highways and Waymarkers’ with Jan Scrine from The Milestone Society.
Even before Roman times, our ancestors travelled vast distances – how did they find their way? How have routes developed over the centuries? What are Guide Stoops? Who ran the turnpike system of toll roads? Jan Scrine is a founding member of The Milestone Society and is happy to share her interest in who travelled where and how!
Tickets cost just £5.00 each. A 50% discount is available for registered SWP volunteers.
The venue: The Devonshire Dome Lecture Theatre
Tickets are available to purchase from the Buxton Opera House here
